I love love love this shot of N6 with the two little ones. DZ boy’s “I want milk NOW” look is simply classic. :)
33 good years is a long time to be married don’t you think. Imagine the ups and downs, biggies and smallies that are life’s milestones a couple would have gone through together.
What we know about love, marriage, family ties, we learn from our Father and Mother. Unlike now, when double income is the norm and the man is expected to help out with childcare, there was a clear separation of duty in the household. He is the sole breadwinner, and she the main caregiver. Even though he had never changed a diaper nor held a bottle, he plays a big and indispensable part in every stage of his children’s lives. She, on the other hand, being a full time stay-at-home Mom has always been there for her children during their growing up years. No wonder she shares close relationships with all four of them.
As parents, they are loving, nurturing and giving. As a couple, they are loving, caring and respecting towards each other. I cannot quite recall them raising their voices in front of us, let alone quarrel. Our parents are our role models. Of course we had our fair share of fights and quarrels but sibling rivalry never existed. We are fortunate kids to have grown up in a happy and secure family.
Happy 33rd Anniversary Dad and Mom. We love you two very much.
A few weeks back, we had a mini celebration for our modest 3rd year anniversary. We deposited DZ boy with my parents and sneaked out for a quickie lunch at Nadaman. I savoured every morsel of my 6 course kaiseki set while he devoured his teppanyaki order heartily. It was our first baby-free meal in a long while. While it was liberating to be able to give each other our hundred percent attention once more, it was also unsettling as half the time my mind was wondering about the baby we left behind. Ah… Such is life after one became a parent.
Wayyyy to go before we reach 33 years of married life, we are but at the cusp of many new beginnings and experiences. I am just glad we are in this together. :)
Happy 3rd Anniversary Hubby and a Happier 1st TAJ anniversary! Thanks sis for the lovely cake =)
