Since he started scooting regularly, we’ve been on a lookout for good child size helmet for a while. He requested to wear a helmet after reading a book where the Sesame Street characters are all wearing one when out in the park on wheels. Very pleased that our son had demonstrated appropriate safety awareness, we brought him to a professional skate shop for fitting but even the smallest one there is still too big for his little head. We made a stop at Toys “R” Us but the ones did not appeal aesthetically and I had to beg him to try it on so that I can determine his size but that lasted less than a minute and he declared “DZ don’t want helmet”. Since then, it had been impossible getting him to agree to put on one, until of course dear Thomas comes to our rescue.
Loving the Thomas helmet that Papa brought back from his biz trip (which Momma bought over Amazon JP and got it delivered to the hotel)!
From not wanting to have anything to do with it, now someone NEEDS to don a headgear even during meal times…*roll eyes*
He’s been fascinated by our shadows lately and was exhilarated when the evening sun casts longer than usual ones on the ground on our way to the canal.
Looking like a professional scooter, or is it called scooterer? Ready? Set, Go!
And off he scooted along the canal in our backyard..
He saw our reflections and let out a delightful squeal “That’s DZ and Mommy”!
Yay… I say, Thank You Thomas and friends once again :D
